About Us
Who Is Journey of Faith?
We focus on being discipled in our faith, meeting people’s needs, conducting personal ministry, and participating in Great Commission activities all while making disciples and planting new simple churches throughout St Augustine neighborhoods.
Although non-denominational, Journey of Faith Christian Church is associated with the Independent Christian Churches and Churches of Christ. Our church launched in 2012 as a traditional brick and mortar church, carrying the dream of seeing followers of Jesus actually living out their faith daily in real and practical ways to advance God’s kingdom. After 6 years of working toward that goal, we traded the traditional model for a more simplistic model to better make disciples of Jesus rather than merely attempting to gather a crowd. Redirecting our focus to a simpler model has allowed us to gather in homes and focus more on ministry. We no longer devote spending large amounts of money on staff, facilities, and programs in order to appear like other churches, but now choose, instead, to focus more on people.
